In het Nederlands: Obsessieve Compulsieve Stoornis (OCS) of dwangstoornis.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Als je OCD hebt<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ervaar je overmatige angst en\/of onrust<\/li>\n<li>doe of denk je dingen om de angst en\/of onrust tegen te gaan<\/li>\n<li>doe of denk je dingen soms meerdere keren tot het goed voelt<\/li>\n<li>kun je last hebben van ongewenste nare gedachten<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Obsessieve onrust kan gaan over allerlei onderwerpen. De dwangstoornis kent dan ook zoveel verschijningsvormen dat de indruk kan ontstaan dat je alles wel OCD kunt noemen. Dat is zeker niet het geval. Er is pas sprake van een aandoening als je ook problemen hebt met functioneren en\/of welbevinden.<\/p>\n<p>De oorzaak van OCD is niet bekend. Zowel erfelijkheid als dat wat je meemaakt kan een rol spelen bij het ontwikkelen van een dwangstoornis.<\/p>\n<p>OCD gaat meestal niet vanzelf over. Behandeling helpt de vicieuze cirkel van obsessies en compulsies te doorbreken. De behandeling van OCD bestaat meestal uit <a href=\"\/behandelmethoden\/cognitieve-gedragstherapie\/\">cognitieve gedragstherapie<\/a> en\/of het <a href=\"\/behandelmethoden\/medicatie\/\">gebruik van medicijnen<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>OCD is de internationale afkorting van Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
